TE Connectivity’ Commitment to Applicant Privacy 

You have connected to the TE Connectivity Career Portal and are in the process of entering and transmitting personal data. TE Connectivity recognizes your right to confidentiality and is committed to protecting the privacy of your data. We intend to comply with applicable data protection laws in every country in which we operate. 

Collection and Use of Personal Information 

By creating a profile, and submitting your resume/CV, you will be participating in the selection procedure for the specific position that you have selected. In addition, your submission may be reviewed for general consideration. The data that you provide via the website can be reviewed at any time by any authorized representative of TE Connectivity. Authorized representatives include individuals who are involved in the hiring process and who have a legitimate need to access and process your data for identifying and evaluating your submission for employment opportunities. 

International transfer of personal data 

All online submissions are stored and maintained in TE Connectivity’s central database which for TE is hosted and operated by our service provider SAP Success Factors in the U.S. Success Factors is contractually required to process your information confidentially and protect this against misuse. 

Retention, Correction and Deletion of Personal Information 

TE Connectivity will retain your personal data as long as necessary for the purpose of evaluating your qualifications for employment as well as to comply with applicable laws. You can update and correct the information in your profile yourself at any time. Your profile and resume/CV will be purged from the database if there has not been an update in the past 36 months. 

Data security 

TE maintains reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect your personal data from unauthorized or inappropriate access, accidental or intentional manipulation, loss and destruction and requires its service providers to do the same. Our security procedures are continually enhanced. We restrict access to your personal data to those workers who need to know the information to respond to your inquiry or request. Workers who misuse personal information are subject to disciplinary action. However, the security of the internet cannot be guaranteed. Data Privacy Consent 

On the candidate profile page of the career portal, you will be required to Accept or Decline the terms of this privacy policy. By confirming your acceptance of this privacy policy, you provide your explicit consent for your data to be transferred to TE’s central database as referred to above, TE’s parent company in the U.S. and to global affiliates of TE to evaluate your suitability for the position to which you applied and for further positions that may arise within TE or its global affiliates. TE and its global affiliates need to comply with internal privacy agreements and policies but can be in countries that may 

have no or different data protection laws than of the country in which you are residing. You can revoke your consent at any time by sending an email to privacyoffice@te.com

This section of this Policy is to inform applicants who are residents of California about their privacy rights as protected by applicable laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. 

The types of information that TE collects 

When you apply for a (potential) job vacancy at TE you will be asked to provide different types of personal information needed to evaluate your qualifications, experience and education and whether you would be a good fit. These are for example your name, contact details, home address, resume as well as the information TE receives from a background and/or health check when applicable. 

Purposes for which we use your personal information 

TE collects and processes your personal information only to review your application for a specific job vacancy or for the possibility that you would be a good candidate for a potential future vacancy. 

Invoke your privacy rights 

Under applicable laws you can ask us for the following information by completing the webform or by calling the following toll-free number: 1-800-780-6550. 

  • Right to know about personal information that we collected, disclosed or sold 
  • Right to request deletion of personal information 
  • Right to non-discrimination for the exercise of a consumer’s privacy rights 

You can also ask another person to invoke these rights on your behalf as your authorized agent by completing the webform. Of course, you can also update and delete your core personal information yourself on the myHR portal.
